Roberto Rossellini Centenary
My Dad is 100 Years Old
Francesco, giullare di Dio
Where: Italian Movie "Il Divo" at San Rafael Film Center
When: Aug. 4, 8, 9, 10 See marin italian events calendar
This year marks the 100th birthday of Italian master Roberto Rossellini.
In celebration the Italian Movie "Il Divo" at San Rafael Film Center presents a beautifully restored print of one of his most celebratory
films, as well as a strange and wonderful short film tribute made by his daughter
Isabella in collaboration with Canadian director Guy Maddin. The filmmaker mostly
closely associated with Italian Neorealism, Roberto Rossellini was also the
most straightforward and uncompromising in his depiction of reality.

It wasn't as pretty as the Germany game, but it sure was exciting to see the end of the penalty-kick juju and a little payback to the French for 1998.
