Two great summer camp programs to enjoy the summer and learn Italian at the same time. They are offered by two Italian schools in Marin: Girotondo Italian School in Terra Linda and Parliamo Italiano! Italiamore Preschool in Central San Rafael and Mill Valley.

The Girotondo 2009 Summer Program is divided into 7 weeks running from June 8th to July 31st. Each week, the curriculum will revolve around a particular theme, Music and Art classes are included in the weekly schedule. Children will have fun while learning Italian at the school campus in San Rafael. Families can choose the week they would like their children to attend. Marin Italians' Families will receive a discount of 30% on the second week if they will enroll in minimum 2 weeks.

The Parliamo Italiano! 2009 Summer Camp Program is divided into 7 weeks running from June 15th to July 31st. Children wil have fun while learning Italian through project based workshops designed for children aged 2-5. Families can choose the weeks they would like their children to attend (minimum of 4 weeks required). The program is offered in San Rafael and Mill Valley.

Easter eggs are specially decorated eggs given to celebrate the Easter holiday. The egg was a symbol of the rebirth of the earth in Pagan celebrations of spring and was adopted by early Christians as a symbol of the rebirth.

The oldest tradition is to use dyed or painted chicken eggs, but a modern custom is to substitute chocolate eggs, or plastic eggs filled with small chocolate eggs or a toy.

You can find traditional chocolate Easter eggs at Cafe' Oggi in Mill Valley or at Emporio Rulli in Larkspur.

The fee is $ 20, and $10 for each additional Family member. The fee for Girotondo Students and "Cuccioli/Marin Italians Members" is $15 and $5 for each additional Family member
