Christopher Columbus' ship La Nina in San Rafael
nina.jpgThe Nina, a replica of Christopher Columbus' ship, will be docked in San Rafael Aug. 14-21.

Moored at the Loch Lomond Yacht Club at 110 Loch Lomond Drive, the boat will be open daily for self-guided tours.

Built by hand and used in the film "1492," the ship has been called the most historically correct Columbus replica ever built, according to Archaeology magazine.

The ship is open from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tickets are $5 for adults, $4 for seniors and $3 for students. Children under 4 are admitted free.
