Girotondo Italian School opens an East Bay Campus

gis_berkeley.jpgGirotondo Italian School in Marin County is opening an East Bay Campus in Berkeley this fall.

In June 2009 Mondo Bambini merged with Girotondo Italian School. "Mondo Bambini: Italian for Kids" was the brainchild of high-tech management consultant Angelo Del Priore and Berkeley City College Humanities professor Laura E. Ruberto. The Italian language program for children, in existence since 2004, was the only one of its kind in the East Bay and fashioned itself as a full-immersion cultural and language experience for children.

As a start, Girotondo Italian School East Bay will open this 31st of August at the 1970 Chestnut St. location in Berkeley offering Reggio Emilia-inspired preschool for children ages 2 to 5.9 years, Mommy Classes and Afterschool programs.
