Marin Italians is a group of Italians in the San Francisco Bay Area who meet regularly to promote Italian language, Italian culture, and activities. Events are focused on Marin County and North Bay.

ItaliAmore Italian Summer Camps - June 2008 Print E-mail

italiamore.gifItalian Language Summer Camps - Mill Valley

The new Italian language and cultural immersion camp  is open to kids between ages 3 and 9 and children between 10 and 14 who have a passion for Italy. It is a great opportunity to learn a new foreign language with highly educated, native speaker teachers. In this two to four week full-immersion Italian camp, students will learn Italian through interactive activities such as music, dance and videography.
Participants will also learn about various aspects of Italian life, history and culture and they will be stimulated to speak Italian during the two-hour sessions. Studenti will leave with a better understanding of la bella lingua & la vita italiana.

ITALIAN MINI-CLUB (3-9 years old)
Learn Italian in a fun and engaging two week or four week musical experience. Through songs and dance your child will familiarize him/herself with la bella lingua.
Taught by Italian language teacher Sara Bianchi Chamberlin (www.italiamore.com) and pianist/composer, Fabio Sironi of Musimax (www.musimax.us)

June 16-June 26 (10:00-12:00) Monday to Thursday - 1 session
June 30-July 10 (10:00-12:00) Monday to Thursday - 2 session
Cost: $300 per session + $30 material fee
Location: Peace Lutheran Church, 205 Tennessee Valley Road, Mill Valley

ITALIAN JUNIOR CLUB (10-14 years old)
A unique, project-based curriculum teaches older children both basic and intermediate Italian. Through digital photography and video students will utilize their newly acquired language skills to produce a custom DVD highlighting their two week or four week experience in the Italian Junior Club.
