A question at the very useful Yahoo discussion group Italians by the bay came up regarding health insurance for family members visiting you in the US for long periods of time -- longer than 90 days.
"In Italia e' riuscita a fare un'assicurazione sanitaria
integrativa, ma solo per 90 giorni. Le hanno detto che non puo'
rinnovarla perche' questa e' legata ad un soggiorno turistico (il visa
waver program e' di 90 gg), ma mia mamma ha un visto e si fermera' di
piu'. Al momento non so come assicurarla per il periodo dopo I 90 gg -
